Liquid sodium is the heat transport medium in fast breeder reactors due to its favorable chemical, physical, and nuclear properties. Wetting of liquid with material reactor components essential for effective functioning reactor. wetting plays a crucial role, such as (i) transfer (ii) image reconstruction under ultrasonic scanners. Contact angle inverse measure liquids over solid surfaces. A contact measurement system was set up an inert atmosphere glow box study behavior on materials. The nickel surface measured function temperature, results obtained were found be good agreement literature values. SS316LN temperature first time using this facility.
